With a population of more than 33,000, Glendale Heights village is populated largely by families and young professionals and is known for its ethnic and cultural diversity. The “Glendale” part of the village’s name stems from its proximity to Glen Ellyn to the south and Bloomingdale to the north. “Heights” reflects the village’s topography, which includes a 100-foot variation in elevation levels. Located near Interstate 355, Glendale Heights offers convenient access to nearby suburbs and downtown Chicago 30 miles to the east, providing residents with easy access to both small town and large city accommodations.
The three most common industries in Glendale Heights, by number of employees, are manufacturing, healthcare/social assistance and retail.
